The Epilepsy Focus Research Forum is a monthly meeting to foster education and collaboration among all persons interested in epilepsy at Emory University and beyond. We largely consist of pediatric and adult epileptologists, neurosurgeons, and neuroradiologists, as well as scientists from diverse disciplines including epidemiology, human genetics, neuropsychology, neuroscience, and pharmacology. Learners of all levels - principal investigators, attendings, RNs, APNs, residents, postdoctoral fellows, research specialists, and students - are welcome to join us. Each evening features two 20-minute presentations, typically one from clinical and one from basic science, focused on either an original work or a critical review of a published article. From time to time, we will have an invited speaker. This event is currently virtual; in the future, attendees will be invited to gather over a buffet dinner to have friendly and informal round-table discussions.
