Congratulations to the 2011 Mentored Pre-K Grant Program Awardees!
More about the Pre-K programs…
The Emory-Egleston Children’s Research Center: A new pilot grant program providing funds for career development of junior faculty physician-scientists who wish to develop a career in basic, translational, or clinical biomedical research.
CCIV/CTIITC: The Children’s Center for Immunology and Vaccines and the Children’s Transplant Immunology and Immune Therapeutics Center dedicated a portion of their program budgets towards career development of junior faculty physician-scientists who wish to develop a career in basic research in the area of immunology or microbial pathogenesis.
Both Pre-K mechanisms described above are funded jointly by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine and are focused very specifically on facilitating the acquisition of extramural grant support by physician scientists in the Department of Pediatrics. It is anticipated that another call for applications will be released in early 2012, with an application due date in early March for funding to begin on July 1.
