Amount: Grants are for up to a three-year term. Up to $229,500 per year. Grant funds are not to be used to support the lead applicant’s salary. It is expected that their employing college or university will cover the salary of the applicant for the duration of the grant. Apart from the exclusion of the salary of the applicant, the grant funds may be used by the applicant for any expense judged supportive of the research project including staffing, lab expenses, equipment and access charges, and professional travel.
