K-Club

The monthly lunchtime seminar series provides an educational forum to assist fellows and faculty with developing successful career development award applications. The series is sponsored by the Emory Department of Pediatrics and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and our co-sponsors the Emory Department of Medicine, the Georgia Clinical & Translational Science Alliance (Georgia CTSA), and CFAR.

For Junior Faculty

The Atlanta Pediatric Scholars Program, (K12HD072245; PI, Lucky Jain, MD), is funded by The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and is administered and supported by Emory University Department of Pediatrics and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This program is a mentored institutional career development program for senior fellows and junior faculty who have recently completed postgraduate clinical training in pediatrics and are committed to launching an independent basic science research career.

For Fellows

We offer specialized programming for MD and PhD fellows alike. For MD fellows, this includes a common core curriculum known as FIRsT. For PhD fellows, our postdocs have access to a strong network of support services and partnering organizations throughout the Atlanta biomedical community.

For Residents

The Pediatric Residency Investigative Scholars at Emory (PRISE) track develops high caliber pediatric physician scientists with the potential for long-term impact on child health. PRISE track residents include both MDs, DOs, and MD/PhDs with strong interests in academic medicine. Residents choose between four options: a general track, and NHLBI-funded R38, an Integrated Research Pathway (IRP), or an Accelerated Research Pathway (ARP).
