The ATLANTIS Program is currently accepting applications from pre- and postdoctoral trainees from Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine, or the Georgia Institute of Technology for research training in the fields of non-malignant hematology, nephrology, and urology. Pre-doctoral candidates must be enrolled in a PhD program at one of these institutions and must have already passed their qualification exams. Post-doctoral candidates must have completed a doctoral degree (M.D., Ph.D., D.V.M., PharmD, etc.) prior to entering the Program. The successful applicant must be either a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident (Green Card holder) and must pursue either basic, translational, or clinical science training with the goal of answering an important biomedical question in the field of hematology, nephrology, or urology that does not involve the study of cancer.

Starting January 1, 2026, ATLANTIS will require all trainee mentors to have completed or be enrolled in formal Mentor Training as required by the NIH. Documentation of the mentor training must be uploaded with the trainee's application. Please reach out to Mikayla Zachos (kflowe4@emory.edu) with any question
