The CARRA-Arthritis Foundation Mentored Career Development Award supports early career investigators (fellows, assistant professors) who demonstrate a clear track record and a commitment to developing independent research careers in pediatric rheumatology.
Eligibility
- The project PI for all grants must be a current CARRA member who is up to date on membership dues and has ensured their membership information is current and accurate.
- Previous and current CARRA awardees who wish to submit new grant applications must be up to date on all previous and current award deliverables at the time of submission.
- Applicants must hold an MD and must be at the instructor or assistant professor or equivalent level. Third-year fellows with offers of faculty positions are also eligible.
- All applications must be submitted by or include a pediatric rheumatologist named as a co-investigator (co-I).
- Current or past MCDA grant awardees are not eligible to apply.
- Investigators who have been awarded NIH K99/R00 or R01 grants are not eligible to apply.
- A Mentored Career Development Awardee may concurrently hold an NIH K award (other than K99/R00) if there is no budgetary overlap.
