CDC has released a funding announcement for 2024 Special Interest Projects.
The announcement has a tight deadline! Letters of Intent are due on February 2, 2024 with a final application deadline of March 4, 2024. Projects address cancer survivorship and care plans, cancer control and adoption of evidence-based interventions, prostate cancer treatment and surveillance, social isolation and mental health of elderly cancer survivors, physical activity and nutrition, epilepsy, arthritis management, mental health, and immunizations:
Of particular interest is SIP-24-011: Assessment of MMR immunization interventions for children in close-knit communities with longstanding vaccine hesitancy ($200,000/year for 1 year)
The goal of this research is to identify and assess current intervention(s) or program(s) to improve routine MMR vaccine confidence and increase MMR vaccination among children in a close-knit community of focus with a history of MMR vaccine hesitancy.
