Dr. Keri Drake is a physician-scientist UT Southwestern Medical Center and a practicing pediatric nephrologist at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. Research in the Drake lab is focused on using genetically engineered mouse models to understand how disruptions in normal kidney development contribute to Wilms tumor, with a specific focus on how activating mutations in beta-catenin and loss-of-function mutations in Wt1 may result in both cell-autonomous and non-autonomous mechanisms that drive Wilms tumorigenesis.
Dr Drake will be presenting her seminar "From Nephrogenesis to Neoplasia: Intersections in Kidney Development and Wilms Tumorigenesis."
