About Speaker:
Dr. Shilu Malakar is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Suthar Lab. She grew up in Nepal and pursued graduate studies in Thailand, earning her PhD in Immunology from Mahidol University. Shilu's research interests include exploring emerging viral infections and viral immunology. Her current research focuses on studying host-virus interactions, specifically how these interactions regulate immunity to West Nile virus infection. Prior to joining the Suthar Lab, she worked on research related to the dengue virus, including drug screening and cellular signaling pathways. Passionate about both science and nature, she enjoys cooking and hiking in her free time.
