"Harnessing the Power of the Remarkable Human Plasma Cell for Protection, Pathogenesis, & Diagnosis"

About Dr. Eun-Hyung Lee:

Frances Eun-Hyung Lee (Eun) completed her BA at Johns Hopkins University and MD at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (JHUM) in 1993. Then completed her Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary & Critical Care fellowship at University of Rochester Medical Center and Boston University. At the University of Rochester, under the mentorship of Tim Mosmann, Edward Walsh, and Ann Falsey, she developed an interest in immune responses to respiratory viruses, which continued during the COVID-19 pandemic.  In 2012, she moved to Emory University, and she rose the ranks to tenured professor of medicine in 2022, creating an exciting human B cell and plasma cell program with a focus on the basic mechanisms of how long-lived plasma cells are generated and maintained. Her research expertise is in the biology of human protective and pathogenic plasma cells.
