"Plasma Profiling Reveals Links Between CD4 T Cell Differentiation, Cytokines, and Bile Acid Metabolites in HIV Reservoir Persistence Among Children Living With HIV"

Ashish Sharma, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Pathology Advanced Translational Research Unit at Emory University. Trained in neonatal immunology and systems biology, his research combines wet-lab and computational approaches to investigate how immune cell differentiation states influence infectious and cancer disease persistence and therapeutic outcomes. In this talk, he will discuss recent findings demonstrating how bile acid metabolites and plasma cytokine profiles associated with CD4 T cell differentiation are linked to HIV reservoir persistence in children living with HIV.
