We are pleased to announce the addition of two PCR instruments to the General Equipment Core shared equipment program:
- QuantStudio™ Absolute Q™ Digital PCR System
- QuantStudio™ 7 Real-Time PCR System
These instruments will be available as shared resources to support research needs across Pediatric laboratories. The goal is to expand access to high-quality PCR capabilities while providing a consistent process for training, scheduling, and equipment use.
Because these are shared instruments, users must complete training before they are granted independent access. The initial training session will be held on August 25th, 2026, at 10am in the HSRB I Auditorium and will cover instrument operation, sample and plate setup, software use, scheduling expectations, data management, cleanup, and shared-equipment responsibilities.
If you anticipate using either the Absolute Q or QuantStudio 7, please plan to attend the August 25 training. Attendance will be required before access to the instruments is provided.
