About David Staudt, MD, PhD
Dr. David Staudt is an Instructor in Pediatric Cardiology at Stanford. He completed his MD and PhD at the University of California, San Francisco, where he studied cardiac trabeculation in the laboratory of Dr. Didier Stainier. He completed his Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Stanford, where he joined the laboratory of Dr. Mark Mercola. His current research uses stem cell models and high-speed video microscopy to understand how genetic variants can impair cardiac relaxation, aiming to identify novel therapeutic targets to improve diastolic function.
