Kent Willis, MD, FAAP, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He serves as the Director of the Willis Lung Laboratory and is an Associate Scientist at UAB's Microbiome Center, Immunology Institute, and Lung Health Center. Dr. Willis' translational research program at UAB seeks to understand how commensal fungi, the mycobiome, influence newborn physiology and disease, principally via exploring the gut-lung axis in bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Join us for his presentation titled "The Gut-Lung Axis in the Development of Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia," on Friday February 28th at 9:00AM!
