
Claudia Morris, MD, FAAP, received the Global Clinical and Translational Research Award on June 2, 2025 from the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Abuja, Nigeria. Dr. Morris was an invited guest speaker at the university, giving a talk entitled "Arginine Deficiency: A Consequence of Hemolysis that Creates a Distinctive Nutritional Requirement.” During this time, she was celebrated for her contributions to sickle cell disease and successful collaboration with investigators at University of Abuja on a phase 2 trial and arginine therapy.
