Research
My research investigates how neural stem cells sense and transduce mechanical forces to regulate cell fate and migration, with a particular focus on mechanobiology in brain development and disease. We develop and use advanced microchannel devices and pediatric brain tumor models—including cerebral and tumor organoids—to uncover how biophysical forces shape neurodevelopment, glioblastoma, and medulloblastoma progression. A key aspect of our work is cutting-edge live-cell imaging that enables real-time visualization of organoid architecture and dynamic cell behaviors during invasion, providing unprecedented mechanistic insight into tumor–brain interactions and informing strategies to limit cancer spread.
