Biography

Our research focuses on the pathogenesis of infant leukemias. We have shown that the nuclear export chaperone CRM1 plays a direct role in CALM-AF10 leukemogenesis by activating HOXA gene expression. CRM1 appears to be similarly involved in other leukemias, suggesting that available CRM1 inhibitors may be effective anti-leukemic therapeutic agents.
