Research
Dr. Debayan Dey’s research focuses on the structural and mechanistic basis of bacterial antibiotic resistance. His work integrates structural biology, biochemistry, microbiology and computational drug discovery and molecular dynamics simulations. He studies ribosomal methylation and multidrug efflux systems to uncover principles of drug recognition and resistance. The goal is to develop next-generation therapeutics targeting cystic fibrosis–associated and other pediatric infections.
