Biography
Dr. Reilly is a fellowship-trained pediatric obesity medicine specialist and diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She completed medical school at Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine in West Palm Beach, FL and her pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL. Her fellowship training in pediatric obesity medicine was completed through the Center for Pediatric Obesity Medicine at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.
Dr. Reilly prides herself on marrying evidenced-based interdisciplinary treatments with a culturally humble and compassionate clinical approach to obesity management and hopes to teach others to do the same. Dr. Reilly educates patients and families on the complex interplay of genetics, biology, and environment resulting in a person's tendency to carry extra weight. It is Dr. Reilly's mission is to combat weight stigma and to treat patients and families with obesity not only with the dignity and respect which they deserve, but also with the latest evidence-based individualized medicine utilizing multi-disciplinary lifestyle interventions, pharmacotherapy, and bariatric surgery when appropriate.
Research
Primary research areas of interest include treating pediatric obesity as a chronic disease as well as its comorbidities with a spectrum of interventions including pharmacotherapy, bariatric surgery, and intensive lifestyle intervention.
