Biography
Mindy Scheithauer, PhD, BCBA-D, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine and a Psychologist in the Severe Behavior Program at Marcus Autism Center. In her clinic work, she focuses on the assessment and treatment of problem behavior using functional analyses and function-based interventions. She also helps supervise trainees, including those seeking board-certified behavior analyst doctorate and psychology experiences.
Research
Dr. Scheithauer has a variety of research interests in the field of applied behavior analysis and clinical trial treatment research. Current projects include evaluating the interactive effects of pharmacological and behavioral assessments and treatments, analyzing novel models for the assessment and treatment of complex challenging behaviors, and creating manuals for behavioral interventions. She has numerous national and international presentations on these topics and has published her work in some of the top behavior analytic journals.
