Research

My lab is developing innovative approaches for cardiac regeneration after myocardial infarction (MI) or to treat congenital heart diseases. We hypothesize that in the post-MI heart acute c-kit inhibition will restrict c-kit+ CSC differentiation causing these stem cells to expand geometrically and then differentiate resulting in de novo cardiomyogenesis.
