My research centers on understanding the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of cystic fibrosis-related diabetes (CFRD), focusing primarily on pancreatic endocrine dysfunction and how it contributes to impaired insulin secretion in individuals with CF and also exploring the impact of dietary factors—especially simple sugars and glycemic index—on glucose tolerance and broader metabolic outcomes.
