Dr. Fireizen's research spans between pediatric pulmonology and pediatric infectious diseases, with a strong focus on cystic fibrosis, respiratory infections, and the impact of novel diagnostics and therapies. More recently, he has published about the changing epidemiology of pulmonary exacerbations in cystic fibrosis, antimicrobial resistance trends in Pseudomonas aeruginosa in CF, and the microbiome-modifying effects of CFTR modulators. He has also published in the field of pediatric tracheostomy related respiratory infections.
