Biography
Kevin Silva is the Program and Research Manager for the Suthar Lab and the Center for Childhood Infections and Vaccines (CCIV) at Emory University. He joined Emory in 2024 and supports research operations, program coordination, and scientific collaborations within the CCIV.
Before transitioning into project management and administrative roles, Kevin spent nearly a decade as a bench scientist at institutions such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Georgetown University, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and various biotech companies.
He earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University in 2015 and an M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University in 2018. In the Fall Semester of 2025, he will begin pursuing an MBA at Emory Goizueta Business School to further develop his leadership and management skills.
Kevin holds a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification, a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)® designation, and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
