Dr. Kosuke Ogata is an Assistant Professor of Molecular Systems at Kyoto University, Japan. He is engaged in research on the development of analytical techniques for proteomics. He has developed several analytical workflows for high-throughput and high-sensitivity proteomics, such as a phosphoproteomics method that focuses on specific kinase pathways using in vitro kinase reactions. Currently, He is more interested in how the dynamic phosphoproteome profile changes link to the function and phenotype of living systems and seeks the development of analytical methods that can answer this question. Typically, He is working on experimentally determining functionally important phosphorylation sites that are related to protein structure and function using phosphoproteomics technology.
