CCIV members gain access to a number of research resources and funding opportunities. Below, we've highlighted a few key resources. 


Research Cores

To support CCIV investigators as well as other investigators throughout the research centers several resource cores have been established:


Research Center Pilots

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, with partners at Emory University, Georgia Tech, and Morehouse School of Medicine, offers an annual research pilot program aligned with the themes and aims of the pediatric research centers. These pilot award funds are designed to stimulate new research projects, build new collaborations, and increase extramural funding for pediatric research.

Below, you can find basic infomation about the Pediatric Research Alliance Pilot grants. For more detailed information please see the current RFA

PURPOSE: To stimulate new research projects, build new collaborations, and increase extramural funding for pediatric research. Proposals should be aimed towards generating preliminary data for subsequent extramural grant applications. 

TYPES & AMOUNTS: Two types of awards are available:

  • Type 1: Center Award - up to $50,000 per award
  • Type 2: Junior Faculty Focused (JFF) Award - up to $50,000 per award

PROJECT PERIOD: October 1 - September 30

THEMES: Please see the current RFA for center-specific eligibility requirements and themes. All proposals must relate to child health.
