Areas of research include, but are not limited to:
Public Health Genomics: Exploring the impact of genetic and genomic factors on disease risk and health outcomes in children and adolescents
Socio-Environmental Health: Investigating the role of environmental and socioeconomic factors in the development and health of young people
Therapeutic Outcomes and Supportive Care: Evaluating the effectiveness of treatments and interventions to improve quality of life and health outcomes in pediatric and adolescent populations
Transitions in Care and Long-Term Outcomes: Assessing transitions between care settings and the lasting effects of childhood illness on health throughout life and well being
Rural and Global Health: Quantifying disparities in care and health outcomes in young people in rural and global communities
Responsibilities and opportunities are lab and role dependent, and may include, but are not limited to:
Research support: data entry, data cleaning, data collection, and literature review
Analysis: statistical analysis, qualitative coding, and data visualization Project development: protocol writing, IRB submissions, survey design
Collaboration: attending meetings, working with faculty, presenting findings
Other opportunities: EHR/REDCap work, authorship on publications, community engagement
