Pricing (effective May 1, 2026)

Animal Surgery (off-site; surgeon only): $85 per hour (Consultation rate) ***

Surgical set-up/clean-up: $90 (Applies to all surgeries. Charged once per day regardless of the number of surgeries.)

Technical procedures (non-surgical): $85 per hour

Ultrasound: $115 per hour (self-service)  ***

Ultrasound: $200 per hour (full service, adds consultation) ***

Ultrasound Analysis: $61 per hour (self-service) ***

Ultrasound Analysis: $146 per hour (full service, adds consultation) ***

Consultation/Protocol Development: $85 per hour

Hematology Analyzer (Sysmex): $9/sample

Training: $85 per hour 

Training for independent equipment use or the development of a new procedure is provided for all users who are active users of the Animal Physiology Core.  A maximum of three hours can be billed at a reduced training rate.  Any usage beyond three hours will be billed based on published rates.

For all prices, non-academic users can expect 55% more than the listed price above.

Subsidy Policy

The AP Core offers services to all researchers, but generous subsidies are offered for those investigators who are actively engaging in Pediatric research.  Please contact Dr. David Archer to determine eligibility.  The maximum 2026 subsidy per investigator is set at $5,000 with a transactional subsidy of 27% for services.  Services marked with asterisks above (***) are eligible for these subsidies.
