Potential users must complete required training to receive user privileges. Please be aware that the use of the high speed and ultra centrifuge requires a username and pin that will be issued upon the completion of the training.

XPN-100 User Manual

There are four available rotors:

  1. SW 32 Ti: Swinging Bucket, 32,000 rpm, 175,000 x g, 6 x 38.5ml
  2. SW 41 Ti: Swinging Bucket, 41,000 rpm, 288,000 x g, 6 x 13.2 ml
  3. Type 70 Ti: Fixed Angle, 70,000 rpm, 504,000 x g, 8 x 39 ml
  4. Type 70.1 Ti: Fixed Angle, 70,000 rpm, 450,000 x g, 12 x 13.5ml 

Please refer to the Rotor Tech Document for resources concerning rotor selection and care, tubes, bottles, and accessories for the Beckman Ultracentriguges.

Please refer to Rotor Calculations for conversions between revolutions per minute, relative centrifugal force and the clearing factor. Simply select the appropriate rotor from the dropdown menu and enter the known quantities.

Please refer to Chemical Resistances for information pertaining to various materials and chemicals used in procedures involving Beckman Coulter centrifuges and accessories.

J-26 XP User Manual

There are four available rotors:

  1. JLA 10.500: Fixed Angle, 10,000 rpm, 18,600 x g, 6 x 500ml
  2. JLA 16.250: Fixed Angle, 16,000 rpm, 38,000 x g, 6 x 250ml 
  3. JA 25.50: Fixed Angle, 25,000 rpm, 76,600 x g, 8 x 50ml   
  4. JLA 8.1000: Fixed Angle, 8,000 rpm, 15,970 x g, 6 x 1000ml (HSRB E-497 only)
