About the Wilbur & Hilda Glenn Family Foundation
The Wilbur & Hilda Glenn Family Foundation has carried forward a legacy of philanthropy since 1996, building on the values first instilled by Thomas K. Glenn when he created the Wilbur Fisk Glenn Memorial Foundation in 1937. What began as a way to introduce his sons to giving has grown into a family tradition of investing in causes that inspire hope, improve lives, and create lasting change.
The Foundation has supported transformative projects across Atlanta and beyond — from healthcare and education to the arts and social justice. Notable gifts include the Glenn Family Breast Center at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, the Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage at Georgia Tech, the Lou Glenn Children’s Garden at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and the Wilbur & Hilda Glenn Institute for Philanthropy and Service Learning at Westminster Schools.
Grantmaking highlights also include support for the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s new home, and Skyland Trail’s J. Rex Fuqua Adolescent Campus. Each of these investments reflects the Glenn family’s belief in strengthening communities and enhancing quality of life for all.
